The Hour Has Come
THE HOUR HAS COME
Tonight (Wednesday, 3/27, 7:00 pm), gather with your Calvary Chapel family in the Holy Grounds Cafe’ or on our website (www.calvaryinv.com
Facebook, and YouTube (Calvary Inverness) as we follow Jesus on the last day and night of His life.
The hour of Jesus’ trial had come. This was the reason He was born. Every time He taught, opened blinded eyes or deaf ears or brought the dead back to life, it pointed to this moment—the moment He would give His life for the salvation of mankind.
Before Jesus went to the cross, He made one final appeal to the multitudes following Him, urging them to believe that God sent him to save them from their sins.
Every word Jesus spoke was full of passion. Words that relayed the purpose of His death and the promise of His resurrection. He wanted to impart words of life to His followers. Words that would sustain them through the darkest moments of their lives. Words that would undergird them with the confidence of the promise of everlasting life.
Unfortunately, the Chief Priests and the Pharisees made it their mission to undermine Him. They did this by lying to the people who had entrusted their whole lives to their spiritual care about Him. To make matters worse for them, they conspired to put Him to death in a way that wouldn’t disturb the people who saw Him as a good man.
Please pray that those who attend the service will experience a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, a deeper understanding of what Christ has done for them, and the inspiration to share with everyone they know the good news of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
Remembering His Sacrifice,
Pastor
