Jesus And Saving Faith
JESUS & SAVING FAITH
Sunday (2/4), gather with your church family as we turn our attention to Matthew 16:13-20. Jesus had landed in Magdala with His disciples when The Pharisees and Sadducees confronted him. They had joined forces to tempt Jesus into saying and doing something wrong so they could condemn Him in front of the ever-increasing and loyal multitude.
Jesus gave them one more opportunity to turn from their apostasy, and when they refused, He turned, commanded the disciples to get into the boat, and left them and Israel behind.
Jesus and His men traveled across the Sea of Galilee, landed, and made the two-day journey to Caesarea-Philippi, which lay at the foot of Mount Hermon.
The next few months would be spent with Jesus preparing His men for His death. Afterward, they would be in charge of the church birthed after His resurrection.
One day, while Jesus was teaching, He paused and asked them a question. A question they may or may have yet to anticipate but had to answer. Why? Because their response would determine their eternity.
I look forward to our time together. Please pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the entire Calvary Chapel family.
There are several opportunities for worship. On-campus (10:00 am), drive-in church (92.1fm), and online (Facebook, YouTube: Calvary Inverness); (website: calvaryinv.com
