God's Enduring Word

GOD'S ENDURING WORD

Tonight (Wednesday, 11/01, 7:00 pm), gather with your Calvary Chapel family in the Holy Grounds Cafe' or on our website (www.calvaryinv.com

), Facebook, and YouTube (Calvary Inverness) as we continue our three-year journey through the Bible in the book of Psalms (119:1-88).
Though the author is not named, much evidence points to David as the one the Holy Spirit breathed upon to pen the words.
The tone and expression detailing the author's challenges lead one to believe that David chronicled his life experiences with all its ups and downs, myriad emotions, mental stress, and complete confidence in God and His Word, no matter what was happening around him.
The theme of the chapter is the endurance of God's Word throughout the believer's life. Over and over again, each verse details the hope, promise, and guarantee the reader has when their life is focused on God.
It is important because life, with its tumultuous twists and turns, highlights, lowlights, and unexpected changes, seems to lack rhyme or reason and can leave one in a perpetual state of shock.
Therefore, when faced with a situation where they don't know what to do, where to turn, or who to trust, they can refer to this Psalm. It will comfort, guide, teach, encourage, bless, inspire, strengthen, and fill them with the hope of God fulfilling every promise made to those He loves.
Please pray that this three-year journey through the Word of God will be received by open hearts that long to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Jesus. Moreover, He would do deep and abiding work in and through us for a world in desperate need of a Savior.
In His Strong Love,
Pastor
