LESSONS IN DISCIPLESHIP
Tonight, Wednesday, July 8, at 7:00 p.m., join your Calvary Chapel family for coffee at 6:00 p.m., followed by the service at 7:00 p.m. in the Holy Ground Café or online via our website (www.calvaryinv.com), Facebook, and YouTube (Calvary Inverness).
We will continue our journey through the New Testament in the Gospel of Mark (7:1-8:38).
Jesus. Savior. Son of God. Master. Miracle worker. Healer. Deliverer. The list of His attributes, qualities, and titles meant to describe Him will always fall short.
Along with the above, Jesus was a teacher, a developer of men who would follow Him throughout His earthly ministry and carry the mantle of caring for His church when He ascended to Heaven.
Throughout His ministry, Jesus always prepared a lesson in everything He did, something that would guide, develop, and equip His people to know Him better and carry out their assignments.
He didn’t call only those equipped for ministry. Quite the opposite. He called people from darkness to light. Then He set out to fashion and equip them in His image.
So it is with the church today. Every miracle, healing, ministry assignment, challenge, and obstacle one will encounter while walking with Jesus has a lesson to be learned.
Those lessons are given so that His people are made stronger and wiser to face the next challenge that will inevitably come their way. Along the way, they will not only learn more about Him but also be a beacon of hope to those who are still enveloped in spiritual darkness.
I’m excited to continue this journey with you through the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, trusting that none of us will remain unchanged as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the entire Calvary Chapel family.
