REDEEMED
Join your Calvary Chapel family today (Sunday, June 7, 2026) at 10:00 a.m. in the main sanctuary or online via our website (www.calvaryinv.com), Facebook, or YouTube (Calvary Inverness).

We will come together to exalt Jesus, build one another up in love, and be equipped to share the gospel as we continue our in-depth study of 1 Peter (1:18-21).

Peter, more than once, reminded his readers, persecuted Christians scattered throughout the Roman Empire, that despite their standing in the world, God loved them and had proven it by sending Christ to die for them while they were yet sinners. And because of His great love, they could have complete confidence that He was with them through every ordeal they faced.

The Apostle knew how easy it was, especially when having to endure severe suffering at the hands of wicked men, who were tools of retribution from Satan for trusting in the Son of God for the forgiveness of sins, to give in to frustration, anger, and bitterness. To give up on standing up for what is right, put their heads in the sand, and hope the storm would blow over without more damage being done.

Therefore, in light of what God had done for them, Peter reminded them that their lives were not their own. They had been bought at the price of the precious blood of Jesus Christ. He had done what their traditions could never have done.

Jesus had delivered them from certain death and had promised that nothing would ever separate them from His love. Therefore, they should live separate from the world and be set apart unto God, a testimony to everyone, including friends, family, and certainly their enemies, of God’s unconditional, unlimited, and eternal love.

The power of His love, which had changed their lives internally by eradicating all sin and declaring them righteous before God, would ultimately safely bring them to the Father on the Day He returns for His church.
In His strong love,
Pastor
