Good Friday: "Saved By His Death"

SAVED BY HIS DEATH

Today is Good Friday! This evening, gather with your Calvary family in the main sanctuary (6:00 p.m.) for a night of worshipping Jesus Christ for His sacrificial death, which provided forgiveness of sins.

Good Friday is an important day for the church to commemorate the death of Jesus. It provides an opportunity to reflect on why Jesus had to die and to give thanks. Jesus has made Good Friday a significant day.

Good Friday is also a good day to learn the meaning of several truths concerning Christ's death: (1) It was sacrificial; (2) It was vicarious; (3) It was substitutionary; (4) It was propitiatory; (5) It was expiatory; (6) It was efficacious; (7) It was victorious.

All of the results of Christ's sacrificial death are potentially available to everyone, but they apply only to those who accept Jesus Christ and His death through faith.

Believing that Jesus will pour out His Spirit upon all who are here. Believing that Jesus will bring people to saving faith in His name. Believing that Jesus will minister to all who are in need. Believing that Jesus will enjoy being with His people.

The service's live stream (Facebook & YouTube: Calvary Inverness; website: calvaryinv.com) is available for those who cannot attend. Although you may not be present with your church family, you can still participate in all that God is able and willing to do.

BECAUSE HE DIED FOR ME,

Pastor
