BLESSING & GLORY

Tonight (Wednesday, 6/5, 7:00 pm), gather with your Calvary Chapel family in the Holy Grounds Cafe or on our website (www.calvaryinv.com

), Facebook, and YouTube (Calvary Inverness) as we conclude the book of Isaiah (60-66), continuing our three-year journey through the Bible.

In this final section of Isaiah, the prophet describes the blessing and glory that God's people will experience with the coming of the promised Messiah. In the seven chapters, the prophet writes of the blessing that comes to one's life when one surrenders to the Lord. And he also contrasts those blessings with the judgment the wicked will face.

Isaiah also wrote of the glory of a new heaven and earth that will be created when the Messiah returns a second time, not as a suffering servant who would give His life as a reason for many, but as the Sovereign God of the Universe who comes to judge the world in righteousness.

Everything will change with Christ's coming to rule and reign for a thousand years and then for all eternity in the New Heaven and Earth. There will no longer be a need to prepare for war, famine, crime, or numerous unknown pestilences that have the potential to wipe out the majority of mankind.

During the millennium, the church, unseen by Isaiah, will rule and reign with Christ. They will be positioned throughout His kingdom to administer His justice and righteousness to those who had escaped God's judgment during the seven-year Tribulation because they had placed their faith in Christ.

They and their offspring will still be in their natural bodies and will be the subjects of the church, who, in their glorified bodies, will oversee on Christ's behalf the daily things of the kingdom.

Isaiah's conclusion is overflowing with many glorious truths and promises that await those who follow Christ. Reading these concluding chapters can be therapeutic for those overwhelmed by the stresses of this life and inspiring to those who want to step out in faith and do great exploits for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, our soon-coming Savior.

Please pray that this three-year journey through the Word of God will be received by open hearts that long to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of Jesus.

Moreover, He would do deep and abiding work in and through us for a world in desperate need of a Savior.

In His Strong Love,

Pastor
